Botafogo lost 1-0 to Vitória on Sunday the 16th at the Barradão, in Round 23 of the Brazilian Championship. Matheuzinho converted a penalty in the 26th minute of the first half, and Botafogo responded with another collection of performances ranging from nothing to next to nothing.

- Lucas Monzón: Did not play badly. Did not play well either.
- Alex Telles: Flawless hair.
- Huguinho: A full Didi Mocó performance. Picked up a silly yellow card right at the start, gave away the penalty that decided the match and was substituted before half-time.
- Cristian Medina: Tried everything and achieved nothing.
- Danilo: Everything he tried went wrong. Looked like a Sunday league player.
- Álvaro Montoro: Looks like he plays for himself, not for the team. He kept returning to his signature move: a failed dribble followed by an attacking foul.
- Matheus Martins: Did nothing, then did nothing again.
- Arthur Cabral: Held the ball up well and wasted the rest of his time.
Off the bench
- Danilo Pereira: Was neither good nor bad.
- Júnior Santos: Looked like he was still playing for Atlético-MG.
- Domingos Andrade: Did nothing.
- Santi Rodríguez: After complaining that he was not playing enough, he came on midway through the second half and got more minutes. He showed that fewer minutes might indeed be the answer.
